Publications                      Publications

As a work-in-progress, this page shows my publications. My first peer-reviewed article was published under the tutelage of Dr. Lee Mountain while I was in graduate school at the University of Houston. She was not only my professor, but also my dissertation committee member. I will remember her impact on me for the rest of my life. In other words, during my academic studies I was fortunate enough to have astute professors who guided my work toward publication. Thank you, Dr. Mountain, for early-on a) seeing my writing potential and b) understanding my writing style. Shortly after my first article was published, my second article was accepted by a different peer-reviewed journal. After that, I worked for years on my dissertation study. Currently, I am writing an allegory that plays out in a rainforest setting where students are rainforest animals and teachers are rainforest trees.

Personal Reflections

Oftentimes, during lessons with students, insights emerge that show authentic learning. As time permits, these relections will be posted on my blog.

Looking forward

Some of my clients already know that I am always writing something. So, I will use this page to share my writing with you. I hope you are patient because I am a slow writer. How fortunate to have a webpage where my publications will be on display!

Student Inspiration

As I have mentioned, one of my goals includes writing a book. Many of my students have inspired me. Sometimes, students do not realize how much adults, who are in their lives, actually learn from them. This happens to me all the time. In other words, my students inspire me.

So, this webpage serves as my own personal writer’s GPS. My students are the stars – my stars of inspiration. As time goes on, my writing position will be navigationally honed in to this destination. Atmospheric weather conditions, figuratively-speaking, will not deter me. I look forward to making progress to this end.
